It feels uncomfortable to attach any false implication to my art. When I create a piece, I want to be honest with what it expresses, and this need for honesty is why the art must be true. I do not want the viewers to feel forced to look at my pieces in a certain light. Though I try my best for them to perceive the way I have designed it, I want them to be free, subjective viewers. Some will understand it the way I have created, and some won’t. But the most important aspect of the creation is that I am honest with the way that I wanted to create the piece.
From their own visual interpretation of the sensory experience, I hope the viewers will be able to come up with their own interpretation and visual language. In order for the viewers to have voluntary interest in engaging with pieces, the pieces need to be visually interesting and provoke their intellectual curiosity.
